My experience – Rentsher.com

“Big dreams and limited savings” – My situation a few months back when I decided to take a break in my career. A skilled person can take a decent break but his mind will always push him to push the walls. I knew, I was reading a lot and learning to crack my interviews. But the chain was broken somewhere.

I was not being thorough in my research and I did not have a repository to keep and share my research work. It was also a time in my life when I wanted to indulge badly in a project. Hence, I started “blogging”. This process however demanded me to learn Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw. These softwares are not just known as graphic editing softwares but also for their demanding and strong configuration requirements.

My laptop was clearly not capable of handling and running consequent applications with a mere 2 GB RAM. Hence, I had to take a call on which laptop to buy. After, a lot of research and hunting markets in Bengaluru. I decided to rent a laptop online with the specifications I desired.

Enter “Rentsher.com“

The concept of re-commerce which is also known as reverse commerce is exactly what the practical generation of millennial have an eye for. The selling and buying of old goods online is known as e-commerce and when the same goods are available on rental basis, it is known as re-commerce. This startup was in news for raising funds and so I started checking it out.

The UI and UX of the website compelled me to give these guys a shot. It was really simple to browse and look for what I wanted. The product catalog with them is amazing so you have trustworthy brands like Apple, HP, Dell, Asus and many more. I wanted a RAM which could support applications like MySql alongwith the graphic oriented applications. I got myself “Dell Core i5 configuration for increased performance 8 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD”.

The rental was nominal and deposit fee was completely refundable at the time of final handover. The process starts with you submitting your KYC form online on their website and creating an account online. I filled up the KYC form on their website, crossed my fingers and hoped for an early delivery as I did not have a lot of time in hand. The Rentsher team contacted me on same day within 4 hours of me filling the form. They explained me the process and I had the laptop delivered the next day.

It was not just the laptop but also the brand new laptop backpack that came with it. The paperwork was completed by the Rentsher delivery person. I had my machine with updated MS office and I started installing all softwares needed. The plan was keep the machine only till the point I got my next job. In a span of three months, I read like a robot and wrote like a type writer.

It was my blog that helped me stand out from the rest of the crowd and till today it describes me before I even enter a room. This experience of believing in myself not just made me realize the importance of hard work but reminded me of one quote, “Where there is a will, there is a way“.
