Visiting a Dog Cafe – Therpup in Bengaluru

Almost every weekend in Bengaluru is fun for me. And the credit goes to my friends here. They have such amazing to do list goals with them that it compels me to not just accompany them but make the most of it. This blog is for my special friend – Nasa (his nickname), Tinder hunk of our group. I have so many friends who are active on Tinder and are constantly looking forward to standing out from others when it comes to their profile. Every guy has this question for me, “What would have I liked if I was on Tinder?”

Having participated in the left and the right swipe activity with friends  of mine on Tinder, I came out with the answer — Spontaneity. Little did I know about their idea of being spontaneous here. So I was in for a therapeutic treat at Therpup Cafe at Whitefield in Bengaluru. Check the link below:

When we entered, there were very few tables left vacant perhaps because of the weekend rush and we kept on moving from one table to another as our sole aim was to click pictures with the lovely dogs. The cafe was full of dog owners and dog breeds like German Shepherds, Pugs, Pomeranian, Labradors, Lhasa Apsos and Beagle. In exactly 15 minutes, we found ourselves the perfect table and started playing with dogs.

As it was a weekend, we thought of ordering some snacks and drinks. The management at the cafe took complete care of hygiene. There were wash basins with hand wash dispensers. The dogs seemed playful and we tried our hands at throwing props around to keep their spirits high. To be honest, the game changed completely for us from when we entered the place in a little skeptic mood to an evening filled with laughter and fun.

Most of you must be wondering about the cleanliness here. Be assured the staff was proactive and left no stones unturned to ensure a clean surrounding. The place was well managed and served the purpose of adding memories to all of us. It is advised that weekends may be hectic here so a little me time can be bagged well during weekdays. Now, let us move to food.

The cafe served some delicious sandwiches and you might find many dogs lurking around to grab a quick bite from your table. The menu was not just for human pallets but for canine pallets as well. Another trick to get the best clicks is to order food for the heroes here. Check out their menu for Canines and you will understand the treats are just not for you but for your heroes as well.

Overall, it was a good time spent and each of us running around for the pictures at some point. The tip here is to keep calm and try sitting on stairs. The dogs shall find you and cuddle around you. Also, avoid using your flash lights while clicking the pictures as advised by the Cafe owners.
